We go to school everyday to learn. As a high school student, I admit it's kinda hard. A lot of task, requirements, assignments, activities and quizzes that you have to do. But being a high school student is the most enjoyable and unforgettable moment in our lives. This is where we encounter the different kinds of people.... like funny, bossy, kind, superior, intelligent and brave classmates. And also.. a funny, kind, approachable and terror Professor. But being with my "Buraot Maxwell Family" is one of the most memorable moment in my life that I surely wont forget.

In the first grading period I've learned a lot not only to my teachers but also to my classmates.
I learned more about internet, world wide web, who discovered it and a lot more. Our teacher in ICT also taught us on how to do and manage our personal blog, where we can put our ideas, insights and opinions about the happenings or controversial issues here in the Philippines.

In learning those topics, I can say that there's a bit difficulty in it because there's so many pioneers and dates to memorize. Then whenever there is a quiz, I don't review. I don't know why but I'm lazy to review especially when it comes to history-dates so the result is... I got a low score.

I promise, these coming quarters, I will be doing great and better. I will review whenever there is a quiz or what to have a high scores. I promise I will be more attentive. The realization hits me, because I know that these past few days.... To be honest, I'm preoccupied. I'm currently finding the real me. I want myself back from the girl who is grade conscious.

“WE ONLY LIVE ONCE”

The Philippines, evident risk to national disaster is due to its location being a country that lies in the Pacific Ring of fire. It is prone to earthquake and volcanic eruption. According to Philippine Red Cross there are 4P’s that are vital steps towards safety and resilience during disasters; predict, plan, prepare  and practice.

Our country is now a risky country. We need to prepare before the disaster occur that destroys properties, our environment and get people lives. Disaster preparedness refers to measures taken to prepare for and reduce the effects of disasters. That is, to predict and where possible, prevent disasters, mitigate their impact on vulnerable populations and respond to and effectively cope with their consequences. Before the disaster occur in your place or location you must examine your house and repair any unstable pairs. You must also keep an adequate supply of food and clean water. Prepare foods that do not require cooking or do not spoil that fast. You must also stay updated on the latest weather reports  and make communication plans with the family and Prepare a list of different emergency hotlines. You should prepare an emergency kit that contains drinking water, ready to eat food, first aid kit, flashlight , extra batteries, basic toiletries, disinfectant and a whistle, During the disaster you must avoid walking through moving water and Do not ignore warnings or orders to evacuate if your area is at risk, head to higher ground immediately. You must also keep an eye on lighted candles and gas lamps. After the Disaster you must watch out for live wires and outlets immersed in water. Beware of dangerous animals such as snakes that may have entered in your house. Report fallen electric posts and damaged cables to the authorities and drain tires, cans or pots from flood water where mosquitoes may breed.

Its better to be ready than sorry, Don’t apply your MaƱana habit and Ningas Kugon, do something to lessen the impact of disasters on vulnerable populations, to ready an organization for an influx of activity, and to design a coordinated plan that reduces the waste of resources, time and efforts. We Filipinos say “Ligtas ang may alam!”. We only live ones so we must treasure our lives.

“WE. WANT. CHANGE”

Dear Mr. President Rodrigo Duterte...HELLO! Good day! It's my pleasure to send you a letter. First, I would like to thank you, as there have been many changes and progress during your administration. We applaud you  for the clean- up of Boracay and Manila Bay. In a world where our environment is no longer valued, thank you for taking step to protect and preserve the beauty of the Philippines. I also admire that you have been a proactive president in achieving your vision of a new and improved Philippines (Credits: to the right owner)
.
Yes as what I've said you are good in managing our country, but I noticed that these past few days, there are a lot of problems that we’re suffering such as; Rape, unending Drugs, Corruption, over population, Traffic in manila and increasing crimes and the issue about the West Philippine sea, I want to tell you that the west Philippine sea belongs to Filipinos, not to you, not to China. and about the drugs, The government must focus on this kind of problem because a lot of people are using this kind of illegal drugs. And same with the poor educational system, it is one of the biggest problem in our country today. The government can’t even provide the needs of students in school, especially in Public schools. Lack of classrooms, lack of chairs and even Lack of books.

But then, I still thank you for leading and representing our country. But we the youth want changes and want progress, Mr. President we want new!

Sincerely yours,
Ethel Ann Peralta

“FRIENDLY ADVICE”

Over is bad, less is also bad, the good term is the word “maintain, if you want to eat, it doesn’t mean you will eat. You should discipline yourself, limit yourself from those fatty foods. Car Accidents is not the only way or cause why many people are dying, it’s also in the food they take in. Choose the right food to eat and avoid those unhealthy foods.

People says that healthy eating is the partner of physical activity, don’t just take energy by the food you eat, but also to exert energy by doing physical activities. Why do you need to do it? To avoid or prevent from being an obese or having an abnormal weight. It is also bad if you put a lot of energy in doing leisure activities, but the food you take in is lesser. Healthy eating and Physical activity should always be balance if you want to become physically fit.

Choose the food that rich in carbohydrates, vitamins, calcium, protein, good fats and water. Check first the nutritional facts about the food you’re taking in. It should be healthy. In one plate/meal must have a go, grow or glow foods.  I Recommend to you that it’s better to drink water than those acidic drinks like Soft drinks. Always eat veggies and fruits, drink 8 or more glass of water every day. But to complete it.. You must sleep on time and don't over stress yourself. In short, Take care of yourself because there's what we call..."We only live ones".

"TO BE PREPARE IS THE VICTORY”

Government implementing the earthquake drill in able for as to know what to do during earthquake. For us to have knowledge. For us to prepared, but some students don’t really understand what is the main reason why we always do the earthquake drill yearly. As far as I remember we’re performing these for twice or thrice a year. Me as a student really don’t understand why, we need to line up when the emergency bell started to ring, because for me, when the actual disaster came, what we do often is, run calmly and go to the wide, clear and safe area, where there is no hard thing or anything that can harm you that can cause accidents or death.

Our country is now in danger, there’s no place here in our country that I think is safe. Philippines is in Danger. Earthquake is a sudden movement of the ground. Earthquake is unpredictable. We can’t predict when or where the earthquake occur. Then why are we suffering from disaster? It is a natural, sometimes earthquake came when a volcano suddenly erupted, we can’t stop or avoid that. But if it is man made or did it on purpose, there’s what we called atomic bomb or nuclear bomb, illegal mining and sometimes the passing of heavy tracks can cause earthquake. PHIVOLCS or Philippine Volcanology and Seismology is the agency studies or observe the sudden eruption of the volcano and earthquake.

What we are doing during the earthquake, is we always do the duck, cover and hold, we form a line and go outside, or uncovered area, which we think, there is no heavy things that might fall that causes injury or worst...death. Safety first, we Filipinos always saying “ LIGTAS ANG MAY ALAM!!” so we should always prepare and be ready no matter what.

“FREEDOM IS THE POWER TO CHOOSE OUR OWN CHAINS”

In our time today there are these people whom we honor, because they have changed our life and our own society. There are the people we call "Heroes". It is their thoughts, words and deeds we try to live. Their writings and examples have become an inspiration for us to transform not only for ourselves but also the whole of humanity. Jose Rizal for Instance is one of the bravest Filipinos  who have given his life for the sake of our country. Their sacrifices has become the way that we enjoy so much "Freedom".

Celebrating means you appreciate it, we’re continue celebrating “ Independence Day”, and this year 2019, Independence day is on 121st anniversary. We're always celebrating this very special day on June 12. Students like me are happy because there is no class, they’re staying at home, using gadgets all day, why don’t we just go to church and thank God for achieving our freedom?

We celebrate this day in different ways,  Students like me, Workers, and Netizens are making flags, made of colored paper. Government employees are having a flag raising ceremony in the Capitol. Others are also having a motor ride. Different places, houses, stores and malls were displaying flags outside their property that shows a big respect to our country.

Endless thank you to the bravest heroes who saved and fought for our country, who risk their lives just to achieve our freedom, I’m so proud that I’m a Filipino.

I love colour black and I love strawberry with whipped cream on top. I also love listening to any kpop songs. Then, When you ask me about my high school life, well it's really hard, but I know I can do it specially now that I have a lot of dreams and goals in life. One of it is Dreaming that someday, I'll be watching BTS live concert, that someday i'll be chanting their names with my army bomb. Yes! I do love Kpop especially BTS. I also dreaming about being a successful lawyer someday. Just go with the flow, I know God has a good plan for us. Just Choose the right path always and avoid the wrong one. I'm a girl who loves my mom so much. She's my strength but we all know that our Strengths, are also our weakness. Seeing my mom cry is my biggest weakness. BTW I'm the girl who loves someone who can't love me back.
